Cook / CleanerLocation: EalingApplication Deadline: 24 February 2025Salary: £25,702 per annumRegion: EalingJob SummaryAn exciting opportunity to join Certitude as a Cleaner & Cook as we continue to grow as London’s leading adult social care provider.Salary: £25,702 per annumHours: 37.5 hoursJob Type: Permanent - Full timeDepartment: EalingShift Time: Monday - Friday (9.30am - 5.30pm)Benefits- A stimulating work environment full of opportunities to learn and develop- 25 days’ annual leave + bank holidays & enrolment onto a pension scheme- 24-hour Employee Assistance- Paid Enhanced DBS- Eye care vouchers & Perkbox (employee benefits platform - for wellbeing and discounts)- Salary sacrifice schemes available: Travel to work loan, Cycle to work Scheme, Gym Membership & Tech PurchaseAbout the roleThe role of a Cleaner / Cook is to work in the homes of the people we support, preparing nutritious meals whilst adhering to all food hygiene requirements in a clean environment.Duties will include:- Ensure a high standard of hygiene is maintained.- Ensure all rubbish and waste products are disposed of promptly and safely, in line with all guidelines.- Establish a good relationship with the people we support and familiarise yourself with their support and communication needs.- To maintain a high level of cleanliness by ensuring that the lounges’ carpets are swept / vacuumed.- To ensure that the bathrooms and toilets are kept clean by sanitising hand wash basins, baths, taps with antibacterial cleaning solution.- Ensure that an adequate food stock is kept in the house and do shopping when required.- Prepare and cook all meals, lunch and dinner, with varied dietary requirements.About youTo be a Cleaner / Cook at Certitude, the following are essential:- Experience of carrying out cooking and cleaning tasks to a good standard.- Knowledge/understanding of health and safety considerations when using cleaning equipment and products.- Ability to work as part of a team.- Able to communicate with both colleagues and the people we support.About the OrganisationWe have a passion for life and make it our mission to support people in living the life they desire, whatever that may be.
