The Michael Page public sector finance team are in search of a skilled Corporate Accountant to join a successful team to take responsibility for the planning and reporting of the company's financial position, reporting to the Financial Controller.

They employ around 650 staff in a wide range of functions, ranging from cleaners, porters, engineers, procurement specialists and pharmacists. Description

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Lead and motivate 1-2 Management Accountants
• Participate in budgeting and financial planning
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior management

Profile

A successful Corporate Accountant should have:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience in leading a team and managing financial operations
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
