A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Corporate Associate with 2-6 Years PQE to join their London team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing legal counsel to investors, companies, and management teams on a range of venture capital investments, M&A transactions, and private equity deals. This role offers the chance to work on cross-border M&A, joint ventures, and high-profile transactions across the globe.This firm has built a reputation for working with innovative businesses and investors, especially in the technology, media, and life sciences sectors. Their highly regarded corporate technology team operates internationally across major tech hubs in Europe and the US. The team is well-known for advising on venture capital investments, acting for some of the biggest international venture capital firms, corporate investors, and sovereign wealth funds, as well as successful early and growth-stage companies.As part of this team, you will be advising on a variety of corporate transactions, including venture capital and M&A, supporting clients throughout their lifecycle – from initial seed capital through to liquidity events such as IPOs and trade sales. You’ll be involved in:
- Cross-border M&A and joint ventures
- Structuring venture capital and private equity deals
- Advising on incentivisation and employee benefits
- Supporting start-ups with their growth financing rounds
- Working with clients on complex tax structuring and fund formations
Knowledge and skills necessary for this role
- 2-6 Years PQE
- M&A and VC experience
- VC fund formation and cross border structuring is desired
- Exposure to tech related clients is highly desired
- Strong academics
