The role:
As a member of the leadership team, you will drive corporate finance services, including mergers, acquisitions, and financial advisory for a diverse client base.
As Corporate Finance Partner, you will lead high-profile transactions and support clients in making strategic business decisions, lead key initiatives in mergers, acquisitions, fundraising, and business valuation services. You will drive strategic financial decisions, guide corporate clients through complex financial challenges, and ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Advisory:
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Advising clients on M&A transactions, including conducting due diligence, valuing target companies, structuring deals, and negotiating terms.
- Business Valuations: Leading business valuation exercises for a range of purposes including acquisitions, divestitures, tax planning, or strategic planning.
- Corporate Restructuring: Guiding businesses through financial restructuring, capital reorganization, and turnaround strategies.
- Capital Raising: Assisting companies in raising capital (both debt and equity) from institutional investors, venture capitalists, or private equity firms.
Transaction Advisory:
- Due Diligence: Overseeing financial, tax, and legal due diligence in various transactions such as M&A, joint ventures, and partnerships.
- Deal Structuring: Advising on the optimal structure for deals, considering tax implications, financing options, and other legal considerations.
- Negotiation: Leading negotiations with potential buyers, sellers, or investors to secure favourable terms for the client.
Compliance and Regulatory Advisory:
- Tax Planning: Ensuring clients’ transactions are tax-efficient, advising on the best structures for reducing tax liabilities, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring transactions and financial strategies comply with local and international regulatory frameworks (e.g., securities laws, anti-money laundering regulations).
Client Relationship Management:
- Business Development: Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and networking to grow the firm's corporate finance practice.
- Client Engagement: Acting as the primary point of contact for clients on corporate finance matters, providing ongoing advisory support.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaising with various stakeholders, including banks, private equity firms, and regulatory bodies on behalf of the client.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Team Management: Leading the corporate finance team, providing mentorship, and training to junior staff, and ensuring effective collaboration within the firm.
- Quality Control: Ensuring all deliverables meet the firm's quality standards and are completed within deadlines.
- Knowledge Sharing: Keeping up with market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in corporate finance and disseminating this knowledge within the firm.
Specialised Financial Services:
- IPO Advisory: Helping clients prepare for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) by managing the entire process, from financial reporting to regulatory filings.
- Exit Strategy Planning: Advising business owners on exit strategies, such as selling the business, passing it to successors, or divesting specific business units.
- Distressed Assets Management: Assisting in the management, sale, or turnaround of distressed assets or companies in financial distress.
