Corrosion Control Specialist - M&E Global Resources Ltd : Job Details

M&E Global is a defence contractor undertaking services on complex military equipment and aircraft for UK and US contractors. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Corrosion Control Specialist to join our team.The RoleBased in Fairford, UK you’ll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a UK Military base.Prior Corrosion experience will be required, although additional training will be provided on site.This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as a corrosion Specialist , working on a diverse range of military equipment in an exciting environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Removes or abrades existing paint finish by sandblasting, scraping, sanding or chemical
• paint removing methods.
• Treats corrosion on ferrous and non-ferrous metals by grinding, wire brushing, or
• chemical acid treatment as is appropriate.
• Applies metal conditioners and pretreatment washes.
• Applies body filler to holed or depressed areas and to smooth these filled areas to
• compliment the surface contour.
• Applies complete finishing schemes, as specified, using pneumatic or airless spraying
• equipment or by brush if appropriate.
• Applies lettering and identifying insignia and performs maintenance and repair
• procedures to all equipment used during the performance of these duties.
• Identifies correct thinners with paints for different applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned
