About the Role:

Based near Aylesbury, Bucks, my client, a growing and innovative manufacturing business, is looking to recruit a Cost accountant.

The company is going through a period of significant change and this is a new role to support the business deliver their goals. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for developing and maintaining a Cost Accounting System, including calculation of all product costing information for all products and making estimates of new and proposed product costs, review PPV generated in each fiscal month, support annual stock take, calculating and reviewing on a periodic basis absorption rates and methods, annual cost rollups, Sales and margin reporting to commercial team and processing of customer rebates.

The Ideal candidate for the Cost Accountant:

• Qualified/ Part- Qualified Accountant or QBE.
• Must have a strong costing background and have excellent analytical skills and a sound understanding of accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills and general computer literacy are essential
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential
• Good communication skills and an ability to liaise with non-finance team members
• Ability to accurately prepare timely reports as required by the business
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work to deadlines
• Speed, accuracy, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
