My client a leading name in the automotive sector is looking for a skilled Cost Engineer for a 6-month contract (inside IR35). This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in product cost management and cost optimisation in a fast-paced production and engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Target Setting for Unit Cost and associated investment.
• Provide technical and financial expertise to drive business decisions.
• Cost Data Management and Material Cost Control.
• Process Improvements.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in product cost management, estimating, and process planning in a production/engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, cost estimating, engineering practices, and value analysis techniques.
• Practical experience in lean manufacturing techniques and industrial engineering skills.
• Highly competent with Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
