Counselling Service Manager

We are looking for two Counselling Service Managers, Adults Services and Children’s Services for a fast growing charity.

Position: Counselling Service Manager

Location: Derbyshire, travel to various sites (some home working considered)

Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week

Salary: £39,535.00 per annum (pro rata salary £31,628.00)

Contract: Permanent

The Role

You will manage the provision of a high quality, specialist service to victims of sexual violence and manage the Counselling Service which offers face to face, telephone and online counselling sessions and therapeutic support.

You will provide direct line management to the Counselling & Therapy Team, demonstrating well developed leadership skills, decisive operational accountability as well as an ability to work well independently. You will be responsible for the overall management, leadership and development of clinical staff and volunteers.

About You

With a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy, you will have accredited status with BACP, NCS or other equivalent body and 750 hours post qualification practice.

You will also have:

• Experience in managing and supporting staff to deliver services effectively
• A minimum of three years’ experience working specifically in adult or children’s services
• A minimum of two years’ experience of undertaking therapeutic assessments
• A valid driving licence
