Cover Supervisor - Reed : Job Details

Reed work with a number of schools across Bristol and are looking for  Supply Cover Supervisors to join the team. Currently we have roles for Subject specialist and general cover within both Mainstream Secondary schools and SEN bases.

• Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring that pre-set work is completed.
• Maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure student engagement.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of different groups of pupils.
• Provide feedback on student performance and classroom issues to the regular teaching staff.
• Ensure the safety and safeguarding of students at all times.
• Assist with other educational activities as required.

• Experience in a teaching or classroom supervisory role preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and needs.
• A proactive and committed approach to student education.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo this check).
