THE BUSINESSMy client is in the Insurance space and provide their clients with insurance and reinsurance services on a global basis, they pride themselves on providing a quality and bespoke service to their brokers and clients. An employer with an inclusive culture and a spirit of entrepreneurial and independent thinking THE ROLEThey are on the hunt for a Credit Control Manager to join their small and friendly City based team on a 12-monthFTCMaternitycover. This person's focus will be to assist on credit control for both Open market and Binding Authority business working within the Finance team but liaising extensively with the Underwriting, Claims and Outwards Reinsurance function. FINANCE
  • Assist with daily clearance of USM messages within the suspense account.
  • Assist with monthly open market overdue premium report and liaison with underwriters to chase brokers.
  • Completing Financial review for renewal of risks.
  • Monthly completion of Binder & Lineslip monitoring reports highlighting overdue payments and/or bordereaux to underwriters
  • Cash allocations
  • Producing LPANS
  • Producing summary reports for the relevant committees regarding credit control status.
  • Escalate issues to Finance Director as appropriate.
COMMUNICATION
  • Good communicator within Finance team but also with skills and ability to work closely and liaise with underwriting, claims and outwards reinsurance functions, and to be proactive in chasing for resolution of issues.
MANAGEMENT
  • Manage and support the development of the Credit Control Assistant, through mentorship, 1-2-1s and other methods.
AD HOC:
  • Assist across other areas of the Finance functions as may be required from time to time.
ABOUT YOU
  • Previous experince woprking in Credit Control in the insurance industry
  • You will be a friendly, sociable, team player with excellent communication skills
  • Motivated and good at working under pressure when there are competing demands.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Strong written skills

  • Excellent time management
  • Strong organisation skills
