Credit Controller - Reed : Job Details

Reed Accountancy is recruiting on behalf of our industry leading client in the search for a dedicated Credit Controller.

This role is crucial for maintaining a high level of cash flow and minimising aged debt in accordance with their credit control procedures and enhancing debt collection processes.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Ensuring timely payment of debts following agreed payment terms and actively collecting overdue debts.
• Efficiently resolving customer queries and escalating complex issues as necessary.
• Accurately recording any invoice disputes related to outstanding debts.
• Keeping the debt collection process up to date and maintaining it manually when required.
• Working towards reducing debtor days and reconciling customer accounts.
• Liaising with other departments to resolve queries effectively.
• Participating in Finance project work and cross-training in all areas of the Finance function.
• Proactively seeking ways to improve Finance processes and systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of credit control procedures and key financial metrics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
