Job Description :

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our clients financial team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the credit control process, ensuring timely payments from clients, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software, as well as excellent communication abilities to foster positive relationships with clients.

Client Details

Our client is based within the Daresbury area and global organisation with exciting growth plans. Due to continued growth they are searching for an extra credit controller to join the team on a permanent full time basis.

Description

  • Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers to assess risk levels.
  • Communicate with clients via phone and email to follow up on overdue accounts, utilising effective phone etiquette.
  • Prepare and send out invoices and statements to clients, ensuring accuracy in data entry.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends in payment behaviour and recommend improvements to credit policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of all communications with clients regarding their accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to credit control activities.

Profile

  • Proven experience in a credit control or finance-related role, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and strong data entry skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on maintaining professional relationships.
  • Experience in telemarketing or customer service is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
