Credit Controller - The Trendsetting Group Ltd : Job Details

The Trendsetting Group Ltd, established in 1978, is a wholesaler in Sports Awards.

We have just recently moved to a larger premises based in Byker and are looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join our Finance Team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely payments and maintaining positive relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibility of the company's UK and International debtor ledger for credit and cash sale customers

Ensuring that customers account's are paid within terms

Chasing debt via telephone / written communication

Negotiate repayment plans where necessary

Processing month end statements

Placing overdue accounts on hold

Run credit checks and liaise with the Finance Account Manager re credit terms

Recommend accounts for escalation to legal action

prepare and maintain reports on account status and credit limits

Process payments for credit and cash sale customers and allocate them to customers accounts accurately, highlighting discrepancies with customers immediately.

Handle customer queries or discrepancies on their account, ensuring queries are settled satisfactorily and efficiently

Daily review of customer orders of accounts on hold due to being overdue or exceeding their credit limit

Processing cash sale orders upon receipt of payment

provide feedback to the Finance Accounts Manager through regular meeting's

Key Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in a credit control role

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong excel and word skills
