About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Risk Manager to join the Portfolio Analytics team within Retail Credit Risk focusing on Portfolio and Arrears reporting. The role is responsible for managing and developing the society’s portfolio and arrears reporting to ensure that we are optimising our lending portfolio and provide insightful analytics on arrears performance to explain movements and to help optimise our arrears strategy. Working closely with other areas of Retail Credit Risk, with our capital and impairment team and Collections, Finance and Treasury in monitoring our performance and supporting communication of our performance to investors. As part of this role, you will be expected to regularly present to Retail Credit Risk Committee as well as in other forums. An area of ownership will be reporting related to arrears and portfolio composition, ensuring that these reports remain insightful and relevant as both the data infrastructure and financial environment evolve. It’s important to stay up to date with the society’s arrears policy, as well as any regulatory and political changes that could impact the lending portfolio, ensuring that your team’s analysis is both relevant and forward-looking. There will also be the responsibility of managing a small team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, working closely with other Credit Risk Managers and the Portfolio Analytics Senior Manager to plan and deliver activities that support credit risk evolution and help achieve the society’s goals. About youThis role is suited to an existing credit risk manager or an experienced Senior Credit Risk Analyst looking to expand into line management. You’ll have the ability to analyse data, from a wide range of sources and be confident in presenting these results to Senior leaders in the organisation as well as being innovative in your approach to delivering analytics. Knowledge of SAS (or other programming language such as python or R) would be beneficial but not essential and it will be useful to have experience of developing visual dashboards using Power BI (or similar tools).
