We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service & Logistics Manager to join our client's team based near Rye, in East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established and growing organisation that offers great potential for career growth.

As the Customer Service & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of customer service professionals, ensuring that they deliver a first-class customer experience. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will use your excellent communication and organisational skills to establish strong relationships with suppliers and customers. Your expertise in logistics will be essential in liaising between departments to ensure stock availability.

Job Title: Customer Service & Logistics Manager

Location: Rye, East Sussex, office based (Your own transport is required due to the location of this business)

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, with a 1 hour lunch break

Benefits: 23 days + Bank holidays, Company pension scheme and healthcare scheme.

Your main duties as the Customer Service & Logistics Manager would be to:

  • Manage a small customer service team, fostering a culture of excellence and motivation.
  • Oversee sales orders, website sales, logistics, and customer issues.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient stock availability.
  • Demonstrate leadership through personal example and inspire team members to excel.

Requirements for this position:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction supplies sector or similar.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on putting the customer at the centre of everything.
  • Outstanding communication and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Business management acumen and a continuous improvement mindset.
