This entry-level Customer Service Officer position offers full training, making it perfect for individuals eager to develop essential skills in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle customer calls and process payments efficiently.
  • Use procedure notes and complex information systems to process applications to a high standard.
  • Respond to a high volume of customer emails.
  • Depending on the service area, tasks may include reading and interpreting drawings, plans, and maps.
  • Manage a caseload using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Check customer documentation and input details into Council systems.
  • Implement changes quickly to adapt to ever-changing legislation.
  • Provide excellent customer service through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • No previous experience in customer service required as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to learn and retain information quickly.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other information systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle diverse tasks.
  • Ability to adapt to legislative changes and work in a fast-paced environment.
