The Role

We are seeking an ambitious External Attack Surface Engineer to join our customer-facing application team. In this pivotal role, you'll help organisations understand their vulnerabilities in real-time, ensuring they can take rapid and effective action.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Attack Surface Analysis Engineering team, working on both backend and frontend systems.
• Present data meaningfully for cybersecurity stakeholders, ensuring usability and action-ability within security-focused workflows.
• Collaborate closely with cybersecurity R&D and product design teams to optimise data presentation.
• Address technological and data challenges, handling large data sets and enabling clients to control their data and processes effectively.

Required Skills and Experience

• Technologies: Backend (Node.js, Typescript), Frontend (React.js, Typescript), Database (MySQL), and familiarity with ECS, K8s, Airflow, Kafka, Serverless, AWS.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in engineering leadership roles.
  • Expertise in handling data-heavy products and presenting actionable insights.
  • Background in cybersecurity products, particularly those managing assets and vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management workflows and data prioritisation strategies.
  • Proficiency with both relational and non-relational database systems.
  • Writing clean, testable code and understanding various testing strategies.

Desirable Skills

• Data visualisation and creating intuitive components.
• Optimising and working with large data sets.
• Experience in Agile environments with a strong DevOps culture.
