Damp and Mould Surveyor

About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Damp and Mould Surveyor to join our team in the Social Housing sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our tenants by identifying, assessing, and managing damp and mould issues within our housing stock.Key Responsibilities:•    Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify damp and mould issues.•    Diagnose the causes of damp and mould and recommend appropriate remedial actions.•    Prepare detailed reports and action plans for the treatment and prevention of damp and mould.•    Liaise with tenants to explain findings and proposed solutions, ensuring clear communication and support.•    Work closely with maintenance teams and contractors to oversee the implementation of remedial works.•    Monitor and review the effectiveness of treatments and interventions.•    Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and actions taken.•    Stay updated with the latest regulations, best practices, and technologies related to damp and mould management.•    Provide training and guidance to colleagues on damp and mould issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

•    HNC or relevant degree •    Proven experience in diagnosing and managing damp and mould in residential properties.•    Strong knowledge of building construction and pathology.•    Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.•    Valid driving license and own vehicle
