Title: Data Analyst
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £45,000
Days/ Hour of work: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
The business
Our client is seeking a MI Analyst to join their IT team in Chelmsford. The role involves creating reports to support data-driven decisions, providing insights to senior management, and analysing data for partners. Excellent communication skills are required to explain complex data to non-technical audiences. You will be based in their bight and open head office and will need be detail orientated, proactive and have great technical skills.

Responsibilities
- Review data processes and suggest and implement improvements and solutions.
- Develop reporting material for stakeholders, including the Senior Management Team, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Extract bespoke data queries and provide stakeholders with key data requests and KPIs.
- Proactively support the senior management team in reaching performance targets.
- Prioritise regular and ad hoc reporting to meet internal and external needs.
- Identify trends and key focus areas in historic claims data, forecasting claims spend and future positions.
- Contribute to data-related projects that drive overall business improvement.
- Input performance forecasts and targets through scenario modelling and trend analysis.
- Maintain the integrity of the MI Process through detailed review and data cleansing.
- Handle and enhance the existing suite of reports, identifying areas for improvement.
- Utilise your adaptability to handle internal and external data, performing cleansing and manipulation when necessary.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of MS SQL or other data analysis/mining tools.
- Strong IT literacy, specifically in Microsoft Excel, Power Pivot, and Power BI.
- Ability to interpret patterns in data and articulate insights to others.
- Experience with SSRS reports, VBA, Macros, and dashboard creation.
- Familiarity with a variety of analytical tools and methodologies.
- Degree educated or extensive experience in the field.
- Minimum 3-4 years of Microsoft SQL experience.
