Data Cabling Engineer - Zenith People LTD : Job Details

Our client is looking for an experienced data cabling engineer who has worked on a wide range of cabling and hardware products. A three-month contract which could go to permanent for the right candidate.

Job description:

• Travelling across the North East.
• Work involves visiting various schools
• An understanding and appreciation of health and safety practices
• Onsite installation of data cabling project and associated hardware
• Providing excellent customer service and support
• The ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Working collaboratively with contractors on site where necessary
• Basic knowledge of networking equipment including switches and WiFi access points
• Installation, termination and testing of copper cabling
• Fibre optic cabling
• Cabling containment

Personal Specification:

• Enhanced DBS is essential
• IPAF/ PASMA certified is essential
• ECS is essential
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience of installation, termination and testing of copper cabling
• Experience of installation, termination and testing of fibre optic cabling
• Experience of installation of cabling containment solutions
• Experienced at the correct and safe use of power tools
