Data Engineer

Harnham are partnering with a company which has a range of businesses from FinTech to PropTech. They are looking for a Data Engineer to join their team and assist in the development of the data platforms.

THE COMPANY

This company aims to manage the risk of changing currency rates for its clients. They also assist in buying and selling properties overseas. The current team consists of 200 individuals with entrepreneurial mindsets and aspirations who are looking for a likeminded individual to join.

THIS ROLE

As a Data Engineer, you will be growing the current team and building the data platform.

Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:

• Continually building out the Azure data platform
• Bringing all of the data into one warehouse through pipeline migration
• Data cleansing and data mapping
• Assisting in the analytics for the wider business

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• Will be close to the code and therefore have good Python skills
• Experience using Azure as a cloud environment (or any cloud)
• Built CI/CD pipelines with experience in testing code
• Experience with utilising structured query language
• A good knowledge of Databricks

Must have:

• 2/3 years of data engineering experience
• Master's degree - in a relevant subject
