Data Engineer - Lawrence Harvey : Job Details

Role: Data EngineerLength: Initially until 31/03/25 - with a view to extendLocation: Hybrid - 3 days per weekIR35 Status: Inside IR35Pay Rate: £390 per dayOne of my UK public sector clients are currently looking for a Data Engineer. They are looking for a Data Engineer to join them on a hybrid basis with travel to their offices based in London, Newcastle or Coventry 3 days per week. The initial contract runs until the end of March - this does have a view to extend beyond this date.They are interested in Data Engineers with experience of working in an Agile environment amongst multi-disciplinary teams. Past experience of working within the public sector would be ideal, although this is not essential.Requirements:

• Practical implementation of data solutions using Azure tech stack (Data factory, DataLakes, Notebooks, Synapse warehouse)
• Worked with varied data sources (On-Prem databases, Data Lakes, ERP systems)
• Experience with API Integration
• Has prior experience with complex data transformation using PYSPARK, SQL and optimisation techniques.
• Good understanding of Data modelling and Warehousing concepts.
• Data Documentation experience
• Basic Machine learning experience
