twentyAI is partnering with a leading global insurance company, recognised for its innovative risk solutions across sectors such as marine, professional liability, and trade credit. They are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their dynamic technology team in Leeds. The company operates across multiple international markets, leveraging cutting-edge technology to provide top-tier insurance products and services.
This Data Engineer will pay a key role in supporting the new Master Data Management services they are rolling out. This will be a global facing role giving you the chance to work with business and technical users across the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test new system features and applications using Azure Cloud technologies.
- Support the roll out of the new Master Data Management Services as well as the development of the code from the engineering team.
- Advise on approach to Data Governance and Management, making use of Ataccama.
- Provide support for multiple applications, ensuring seamless performance and quick resolution of any technical issues.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and integrate data from various sources into cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.
- Optimise system performance and drive continuous improvement in data processing and cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems and provide 2nd and 3rd line application support as needed.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in Azure Cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, and data pipeline architectures.
- Proficient with data management/governance platforms, Ataccama is ideal but can also look at Collibra and similar tools in this area.
- Hands-on experience with data integration and working in a cloud-based environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and improve systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- A background in insurance, finance, or similar sectors is advantageous but not required.
This is a hybrid position with at least 2 days a week in the Leeds office.
