You will undertake data analysis to identify the existing golden sources of data, primary and foreign keys that enable data to be joined together to give meaning in an IdAM context. It will be necessary to understand what data must be moved via ETL and how integrity, consistency, simplicity, automation and timeliness can best be achieved.
New and existing data attributes must be mapped in the enterprise data dictionary tool, Collibra, which you will facilitate. You will also own the creation of Business Requirements as part of any new applications as well as understanding how to best integrated with Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and/or SaaS (Software as a Service) applications. As and when new data becomes available and stable, you will also design, build & test dashboards to present meaning information contained (e.g. KPIs) on a PowerBI platform.
Whilst the role is initially up to 12 months, there is the opportunity to extend and work as a Data Analyst on a wider IAM regulatory programme which has a multi-year timescale.
Your role involves working closely with colleagues in different domains (and may include external suppliers) to obtain the requirements so that you can design the optimal, secure solutions. A security focus with an understanding of the challenges our internal customers face, as well as a positive problem solving and an analytical mindset are your strongest skills.
Under the direction of the Lead Data Architect, you will build the solution in our test environment(s) and ensure the solution goes through all the formal testing stages with our internal customers to obtain sign-offs. Once tested and signed-off, you will perform handovers with the IdAM Infrastructure Operations team, which may include performing training, knowledge sharing, provision of a "cook book" to enable them to run and operate the solution you have helped test and launch. This will also include supporting the migration to Production Infrastructure providing warranty support (bug fixes, change requests etc).
In addition to the role you are expected to: * Identify security risks and exposures during the analysis and how the design mitigate these risks. It maybe possible you identify security risks which are not in-scope, however you will be expected to call these out to ensure they are recognised to senior stakeholders who can then take action. * Consider the impact on processes and controls based on the solution designed and design with automation in mind. * Make recommendations for changes and may implement agreed enhancements. * Always look for solutions, rather than just call out the problems. * Work along side other projects that have dependencies on or to the PTA Inventory * Recognise that the client is a regulated financial institution and as such your conduct must align with the compliance needs. 3. Skills and ExperienceA combination of several of the below should be covered: * 5+ years of Business Analysis in a data context (ability to use SQL and advanced excel to analyse and manipulate extracted data to form conclusiions and/or inform design decisions) * 3+ years awareness / experience of Data Architecture, Data Modelling & Data Engineering (including data modelling tools such as ERWIN) * 3+ Years Hands on experience of data dictionary, lineage and management tools & concepts - especially Collibra (training will also be provided) * 2+ Years of Microsoft PowerBI Development to create reports / dashboards that visually articulate KPI and other meaningful information. * 3+ full software development lifecycle product launches including warranty support and handover to operationalisation team * Awareness of PowerShell capabilities (to inform designs) for automating tasks and processes in a Windows Operating System environment. * Awareness of SQL (on SQL Server and other databases), especially in regards to the capability of Stored Procedures to extract, load & transform database objects. * Understanding Logical Access Management and Privileged Access Management & Controls * Knowledge and experience with Sailpoint and CyberArk is highly beneficial. * Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g. Oracle) is a bonus * Familiarity with, or awareness of, security mechanisms in use across operating platforms and applications such as Windows, Linux, z/OS (RACF), Tandem, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, CyberArk, PowerBroker (Beyond Trust), ServiceNow. * Understanding of access control and management principles (e.g. segregation of duty, toxic pairs etc.) * Professional certification in CISSP, CISM and CISA, or equivalent is a plus
