My client, a leading Utilities Company, is seeking a skilled Data Modeller to support a data and report migration project that involves transitioning reports from Qlik to Power BI.

As part of the project, you will work closely with Data Analysts, Data Architects, and business users to understand their data needs and translate these requirements into both logical and physical data models. Your expertise in data modelling tools and techniques will be crucial, as will your ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Analysts, Data Architects, and business users, to gather and understand data requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data models.
  • Maintain documentation and metadata related to data models.
  • Support the Qlik to Power BI migration by translating data requirements into actionable data models.
  • Apply industry best practices for data modelling and database design.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of SQL and data modelling concepts.
  • Proficiency in data modelling tools such as Erwin or ER Studio.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for data modelling and database design.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

We look forward to hearing from you!
