Data Networking and Cabling Engineer responsibilities:

• Install copper and fibre data cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre optic link cabling.
• Install containment systems such as basket trays, cable trays, trunking, and conduit.
• Terminate and test copper and fibre cables (preferred but not essential).
• Perform site surveys to assess project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and compliance standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism onsite.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Travel to various locations, including out-of-town sites, as required.

Data Networking and Cabling Engineer skills, traits, and experience:  

• Proven experience with copper and fibre data cabling installations.
• Familiarity with installing cable containment systems (tray, trunking, conduit).
• Knowledge of terminating and testing copper and fibre cables is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
• Friendly and polite demeanor with a clean and tidy appearance.
• Flexibility to work on out-of-town projects as needed.
• Full, clean driving license.
