Salary: £80k - £110k base + ~20% bonus ( subject to seniority ) Experience: 2-5 years Summary:Join one of the world's most prestigious hedge funds and play a pivotal role in their systematic trading data platform, supporting over 100 trading pods. As a Data Operations Support Analyst, you'll be the first point of contact for Portfolio Managers facing data issues. Acting as a bridge between PMs and the data team, you'll manage, prioritise, and resolve data-related challenges, ensuring seamless communication and rapid solutions. This role offers unique exposure to systematic trading teams and the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of trading data operations, with a clear pathway to a traditional Data Engineer role after ~18 months if desired. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as L1 support for data issues, resolving or escalating to the relevant teams.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with Portfolio Managers and the data team.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimise data pipelines, ensuring smooth data flow.
- Identify areas for improvement in data processes and implement solutions.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Top-notch academics in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience, ideally in a financial or data-focused role.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL databases.
- Excellent communication and prioritisation skills to manage high-pressure situations.
