Data Protection Officer - James Andrew Recruitment Solutions (JAR Solutions) : Job Details

We are currently working in partnership with a local authority based in Nottinghamshire, who are recruiting for a Data Protection Officer on a three-month interim contract.

The position is due to start immediately on full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience at a Data Protection Officer level in a Local Government setting, whilst also ideally having a Legal background.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Indirectly supervising a team of 25 responsible for all facets of Data Protection and Information Governance across the Council
• Assisting with complicated DPIAs, ICAs, breach work and FOIs, with each team having a manager that deals with the day to day
• Providing expertise when called upon by internal stakeholders across the council

Experience required:

• Experience at a Deputy or Data Protection Officer level
• Local Government experience highly desirable

Working hours:

• 35 hours per week
