Delivery Driver

Burgess Hill, £30,000 - £32,000 plus very good company benefits, Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5pm, company vehicle provided, onsite parking.

The role:

We are delighted to be working with our highly professional client seeking a Lead Driver to cover driving routes across the South East & London area. Providing a high quality service with up to 10 deliveries per day, this role not only involves driving but also supporting the operational team.

This is a permanent position working for a dynamic expanding business with an excellent reputation in their field.

Key responsibilities:

• Driving 3.5t Luton sized van to undertake the loading and unloading of deliveries
• Oversee Goods In and Goods Out processes
• Support Transport Manager in organising daily schedules to maximise efficiency of routes
• Accurately document delivery charges and assist in preparing of invoices as needed
• Build and maintain relationship with clients ensuring delivery service meets their expectations
• Maintain a safe and clean vehicle to comply with company standards and legal requirements

Requirements:

It is essential that you have a minimum of 7 years driving experience and be able to drive a Luton Van. You will have strong time management skills, be an excellent communicator and have the ability to find solutions to unexpected situations. You will work in a calm manner, be enthusiastic and reliable and have the dedication to provide an excellent service.
