Delivery Driver - Reed : Job Details

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a furniture delivery van and, with the assistance of a porter, installing furniture in customers’ homes. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting with great care and precision.

• Drive a large van to customers’ homes.
• Load the van each morning for the day’s deliveries.
• Unload furniture by hand and move it into the chosen rooms.
• Unpack and assemble all required items.
• Take all packaging away and any old furniture for disposal.
• Ensure great care is taken at all times to avoid damage to the furniture or the customer’s home.
• Maintain a calm and professional manner at all times.
• Fast and accurate incident reporting.
• Perform other general warehouse tasks, such as receiving, inspecting, storing items, and assembly.

• Safe and capable handling of a large van.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency in unpacking and assembling furniture.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time.
• Furniture delivery experience: 2 years (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
