Excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering research organisation overseeing site maintenance & projects on their single site in Bedfordshire.

You will be responsible for general site maintenance + delivering site transformation & upgrade projects.

This is a site based role requiring at least 4 days a week on site.

Description

As Facilities Project Manager you will be responsible for management of reactive, planned / preventative maintenance and site transformation (CAPEX) projects across the site. You will be responsible for the management of an in-house team of maintenance operatives and sourcing external subcontractors to carry out works on site. Typical projects include fire alarm upgrades, security / access, HV/LV supply, machine moves/upgrades, grounds maintenance, building fabric etc.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Developing the overall maintenance strategy / processes
  • Delivering site wide upgrade projects
  • Ensuring site is compliant and fit for purpose and minimising down time
  • Overseeing a team of 20 maintenance staff
  • Sourcing / tendering for external subcontractors
  • Creating progress reports for Senior Management

Profile

  • A degree in a relevant field (Building Services / Engineering)
  • Experience working on a complex engineering site
  • Excellent technical (M&E) knowledge
  • Able to manage an in-house maintenance team
  • Experience delivering CAPEX projects
  • Management of external contractors including tendering
  • NEBOSH general certificate
  • Secuirty clearance checks will be required for this role
