Deputy Nursery Manager - Kindred Nurseries : Job Details

Kindred Nurseries has a rare opportunity at Kindred Harlow our 44 place nursery for a passionate and motivating Deputy Manager to join our newly appointed nursery manager to inspire the team! 

This is a full-time position requiring the successful candidate to work 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday at our recently Ofsted Rated GOOD nursery and is offering a competitive salary with an extensive benefits package.

The key responsibilities for a Deputy Nursery Manager is to:

• Lead the team of early years educators with a hands on approach to deliver on Kindred's pedagogy
• Model and monitor best practice in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Support the Manager, Third in Charge and Room Leaders to ensure the highest standards of Early Years care and education across the setting
• Maintain an organised, safe and stimulating nursery environment
• Keep accurate records and ensure procedures are followed within the room
• Help build and maintain a reputation as the setting of choice in the area for both children and employees
• Support and inspire your team of Room Leaders and Practitioners
• Aid with the induction of new team members, welcoming them into the Kindred family
• Deputise in the absence of the Nursery Manager
• Manage the nursery staff deployment to ensure it is always compliant with legal ratios
• Have regular supervision meetings with your team to discuss their strengths and areas for improvement

To be successful for this role you should:

• Hold a full and relevant Early Years Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of the EYFS guidelines
• Experience of leading and managing a team
• Have good time management, meeting deadlines
• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
