Deputy Principal - Macclesfield College : Job Details

For our new Deputy Principal, this is an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding leader to shape the academic and strategic direction of Macclesfield College.Our new Deputy Principal will play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership and management of the college, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education, outstanding student outcomes, and effective operational processes. As a Senior Post Holder and working in close collaboration with the Principal and CEO, our Deputy Principal will set and embed high expectations throughout the college and will be responsible for providing outstanding educational leadership in the management and development of all curriculum.  The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of consistently driving up academic standards and delivering excellent outcomes while inspiring and developing colleagues across a wide spectrum. We have the most supportive and collaborative colleagues who enrich the lives of our students by living our Vision of "Empowerment through Learning" It is our DNA and we push for excellence in everything we do.   The Role:Closing date is 25th February at 5.00pm and interviews will be a 2-day process week commencing 10th March 2025.

• To lead all aspects of the curriculum intent, implementation and impact for Macclesfield College. 

• To develop the curriculum strategy in line with the strategic plan and external influences that effect change. 

• To lead all aspects of student’s services and quality. 

• To act as lead for all inspection and quality audit activities. 

• To provide strategic leadership of Macclesfield College as a member of the college senior leadership team.

Main Duties for this role include:

• Lead Macclesfield College’s curriculum and quality, maintaining Ofsted Outstanding KPI’s. Be the overall lead i.e. (Ofsted Nominee) for all Inspections and Academic Partner Institutions/Awarding Bodies; and ensure the College is compliant with Inspector/External scrutiny regimes; from inception to end reporting points e.g. Senior Leadership Team / Corporation Board.

• Provide effective leadership and stewardship for all academic quality and standards, College-wide. This includes preparation for all Ofsted inspection activities, Higher Education Reviews; production of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and continual review of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). 

• Ensure all sector developments/government education and training policies are reflected as appropriate in the College curriculum offer. 

• Lead the College strategic plans to ensure the curriculum offer, resources and delivery is innovative, efficient and fully informed by labour market information.
