What you will do
Working as part of the Marine design team, based in Manchester, on mechanical design aspects of marine fire suppression projects, ensuring precision and adherence to client specifications.
Draft detailed CAD drawings and data sheets for fire protection systems tailored to the unique requirements of each project.
Develop a variety of drawings, including mechanical and electrical layouts, schematics, P&ID's, Equipment Datasheets, and Hydraulic Calculations.
Interpret and apply Approval Authority rules and Regulations.
Collaborate with the Senior Design Engineer and Project Manager, offering valuable design and CAD support.
What we look for
Essential
Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and the internal project team.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Hydraulic Calculation package (FireCAD).
Ability to interpret clients' technical specifications.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages.
Full UK Driving License.
Willingness to obtain SC UK MOD Security clearance.
Preferred
HNC/HND in Engineering (Engineering Background).
Experience in the Marine Industry.
Previous involvement in MoD contracts.
Background in the Fire Protection or Fire Detection industry.
