This is an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a well-established Engineering & Manufacturing department in Lancaster. You'll help design innovative industrial and manufacturing products and work closely with a dedicated team to ensure these designs meet the company's high standards.

Description

As the Design Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

* To design products and associated equipment for our various product lines.

* Produce a full technical pack, 3D/2D Approval and manufacturing drawings, BOM's, cutting lists using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Autodesk exp. Preferred) per order.

* Design new products that are optimised for the production process within the sites.

* Design to current applicable legislation, building regulations & legal compliance.

* Review & refine existing product ranges to improve manufacturing efficiency & reduce cost without compromising quality or integrity of product.

* Ensure technical folders, approvals, compliance are all managed in line with company procedure and ISO9001.

* Be the main point of contact for design queries for clients or internal team members.

* Work closely with the manufacturing sites to provide advice, guidance and assist problem-solving as required.

Profile

A successful Design Engineer should have:

• A Demonstrable background of operating either CAD software/Autodesk.
• Strong design skills and an eye for detail.
• Knowledge of the latest design trends in the industrial/manufacturing industry.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting designs to various stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
