Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic DT teacher who meets the following criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Design, Graphics, Tech Styles and/or Resistant Materials at Key Stages 3 and 4 (opportunity for Food Tech).
  • ECTs are warmly welcomed - full support and mentoring provided.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to student welfare.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A passion for science, with a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for Design & Technology.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning and address any concerns.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
