Despatch Operative / Counterbalance Driver

Location: SwindonJob Type: Temp - PermSalary: £13 per hour  Working Hours: 10am - 6pm Monday - Friday

Our client based in Swindon are looking for a Despatch Operative/Counterbalance Driver to join their team. They are looking for a hard-working individual who can offer flexibility and commitment. This highly motivated individual will need to display a professional approach to their work and have a genuine ‘can do’ attitude towards their responsibilities. 

Key Responsibilities:- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload goods.- Organize and manage despatch areas to ensure efficient order fulfillment.- Process and manage stock records using Microsoft Word and Excel.- Prepare and package products for dispatch, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.- Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.- Assist with inventory management and stock control.- Coordinate with drivers and other departments to ensure timely deliveries.- Perform general warehouse duties when required.- Be flexible and available to work overtime when needed to meet business demands.

Requirements:- Valid Counterbalance Forklift License - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel- Full UK Driving License Essential - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- Ability to lift and move heavy items when needed.- Flexibility to work overtime as required.- Previous experience in a warehouse or despatch role is advantageous.
