DevOps Engineer - Spectrum IT Recruitment : Job Details

A long-standing client of mine is looking to expand their team with a crucial role within deployment/infrastructure. This role is the crucial interface between 15 people in their support function and 15 people in their development/engineering team. You'll be part of delivering their SaaS platforms and Network infrastructure to sites across the UK.

Must have skills/experience:

• A strong background in Linux operating systems, deploying, maintaining and BASH scripting
• Strong Networking knowledge and skills including configuration of switches (E.G. Cisco IOS)
• Experience with hypervisor administration and maintenance (Hyper V)
• Maintaining and deploying docker instances
• Maintaining both physical server environments & virtual environment (Hyper V & Amazon EC2)
• Experience working as the bridge between development and support/infrastructure teams

Beneficial skills/experience:

• Experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role
• Experience working within a SaaS or PaaS environment
• Experience with WiFi deployment optimisation
• Maintaining templates on Unifi, Ruckus and Aruba Controllers
