A trade association acting as an important voice in the concrete and construction industry is recruiting a Senior Director to lead support to the concrete sector.THE ROLE:
- Provide strategic direction as to how the concrete sector can respond to demand-side drivers, to ensure the competitiveness of concrete in the built environment.
- Be a visible leader of concrete in sector groups, professional institutions and similar built environment sector initiatives.
- Leading and directing the teams supporting concrete product groups, including: Ready-Mixed Concrete; Precast Concrete; Masonry; and Mortar.
- Leading and directing the teams supporting, particularly promoting sustainable construction and the credentials of the sector.
- Leading and directing campaigns to promote concrete and delivering member and stakeholder engagement.
- Creating and managing budgets that support the delivery of planned activity within scope.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of operating at a senior level within the construction or concrete manufacturing sectors.
- Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams within matrix organizational structures.
- Experience of managing change with the ability to balance operational and strategic drivers in order to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Possess demonstrable relationship-building skills with a wide range of stakeholders and the ability to maintain good personal networks at a senior level, particularly in relevant markets.
- Experience of some not-for-profit activity in the sector, either as part of an initiative, committee, or professional institution.
