Director of Engineering - IQ Talent Solutions : Job Details

We are delighted to be working with one of our most successful clients who are the world's largest family of luxury hotels, in supporting them with the recruitment of a Director of Engineering.

Length: 12 months

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Environment: Hybrid

What duties & responsibilities the Director of Engineering will have:

• Direction & support on the continued implementation of appropriate, efficient & effective Property Operation, Maintenance and Energy Costs (POMEC) delivery
• Drive compliance assurance monitored annually through the Quality Evaluation programme
• Undertake Technical Assessments to establish how POMEC management & administration are delivered
• Establish a position on how mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems need to be operated & maintained
• Support the learning & development of the existing and future Engineering / Maintenance team members
• Drive the adoption of Energy, Water, Waste & Carbon reduction through supporting the timely implementation Energy Conservation Measures

What skills & experience the Director of Engineering will need:

• Experience and knowledgeable on Building Services within hotels environment
• Experience in having responsibility for testing and record keeping for fire, life and safety systems, taking remedial action on any Plant, Gas and Air Ventilation equipment in line with legal requirements and safety standards
• Knowledge of appropriate hotel systems to support operational processes such as service optimisation tool (Quore/Hotsos/Knowcross) and the Building Management System
• Has knowledge of appropriate brand standards and ability to articulate areas of responsibility & accountability
