Reed.co.uk is looking for a Director of Product and Technology to join their Senior Leadership Team in Holborn, London.

The Director of Product and Technology will drive the next generation of B2B and B2C products at Reed.co.uk across multiple platforms, bringing a balance of commercial and user-focused experiences to lead the execution of the Product and Technology strategy.

This person will be data-driven, collaborating with teams and senior stakeholders across the business to ensure Reed.co.uk delivers market leading products that delight its users.

Reed.co.uk is an Agile business with a good level of maturity. The Director of Product and Technology will hold a comprehensive understanding of Agile product delivery, and be experienced in the successful implementation of harmonious product/engineering interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the business to create, own and deliver an ambitious Product and Technology vision and strategy for Reed.co.uk
• Be part of the Reed.co.uk Senior Leadership Team and Board
• Responsible for building and developing best in class Product, Design and Technology teams
• Accountable for the technical infrastructure that supports internal and external products
• Have a deep knowledge of Reed.co.uk's users and customers, making data-led decisions to enable competitive product development
• Shows a keen interest in research and learning to 'bring the outside in', through gaining a deep understanding of both our users, the competitive landscape, legislation and future industry technological developments
• Be 'the voice of the user' and the custodian of their best interests within Reed.co.uk
• Create a clear and transparent relationship between the Product, Design and Technology function and the wider business
• Ensure the Product, Design and Technology teams have clear, achievable objectives aligned to strategic aims, providing appropriate support and direction to ensure these are achieved.
• Lead the team to deliver on expectations aligned with the business strategy and OKRs.
• Management of the Product Design team, focused on creating exceptional user experiences of Reed.co.uk's products and services, whilst driving design excellence across the business
• Management of IT support functions, with overall accountability for security risk management of Reed.co.uks technical estate and internal platforms
• Be a 'champion' for lean, Agile, iterative product development, ensuring that value is delivered early and often

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable leadership skills and experience of leading successful, high performing individuals and Product, Design and Engineering teams
• A proven and extensive track record of product management as an individual contributor alongside a demonstrable portfolio of experience bringing products to market
• Solid understanding of modern cloud infrastructure, website hosting and Information Technology service management.
• A proven track record of learning new domains and user groups
• A demonstrable understanding of, and successful interaction with, cross-business teams alongside a clear appetite for involvement in and contribution to business-wide topics
• Extensive experience with full agile software lifecycle product development and processes
• Significant experience as a manager, leader and coach of Product and Engineering Managers, while also demonstrating highly effective leadership by context and collaboration rather than control
• A commercial and strategic mindset that allows you to navigate a crowded but exciting multi-competitor landscape
