We are working with a Leighton Buzzard based company in recruiting for an Distribution Supervisor to join their team. Our client are a market leader in their sector, and they recruiting new to continued growth, and development. This role is excellent for a candidate who has been a team leader, supervisor, or manager previously.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm.
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 PA.
Location: Leighton Buzzard.
The Role:
The Distribution Supervisor will work alongside and support all Distribution Assistants in the Despatch Department, ensuring all goods in and out are processed accurately and following company policy and procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- To be computer literate in Word, Excel, Power Point, Navision and Company Software.
- Update and review all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Responsible for all training and updating records.
- Be able to mentor and work alongside a team.
- To work with and alongside all couriers, to ensure company lead times are met.
- Picking and Packing orders for both UK and Export.
- Monthly and annual stock take of all stock items
- To ensure all contact lenses are completion checked, labelled, and sleeved and to reject non-conforming products.
- To always maintain a clean and safe environment, opening and closing working area each day.
- To complete any other necessary requirements to ensure smooth running of Despatch department. Including formal documentation and personnel paperwork.
- Processing the SEED stock, ordering, receiving goods, booking in to the UV system and releasing for payment.
- Preparing documentation to support the Commercial Team for their Quarterly Reports.
- Being the main point of contact for the Despatch Department for all Internal and External Audits.
- Supporting the Company in all areas of Health & Safety.
Person Specification:
- Supervisory Experience of 2 years
- Previous Experience in Picking/Packing Environment
- Computer Experience, including Microsoft, accounts tracking.
- Analytical thinking.

Education:
- Educated to GCSE in English & Maths (Grade 7/C or above).
- BTEC or NVQ desirable.
