We are a thriving secondary school located in the heart of Southwark, seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design Technology (DT) Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting students and staff in the Design Technology department.

• Assisting DT teachers in preparing materials and equipment for lessons
• Ensuring all tools and machinery are maintained and in safe working order
• Supporting students during practical sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
• Assisting in the setup and maintenance of displays of students' work
• Providing technical support for classroom projects and activities
• Helping maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment

• A genuine interest in Design Technology and education
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility and a proactive approach to work
• A DBS on the update service is required

• Previous experience in a technician-based role
• Familiarity with a variety of DT tools and machinery
