Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce site, including product listings are detailed and optimised to deliver right and relevant search results.
- Own the e-commerce function, creating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure the website is user-friendly, and regularly updated with new products, promotions, and content.
- Develop and execute an e-commerce sales strategy to support our online revenue and growth targets.
- Plan and implement digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, PPC, email marketing, social media advertising, and online promotions to generate sales leads and increased basket spend.
- The creation of a GDPR compliant engagement database to support the annual marketing plan - in partnership with the wider Marketing team - to drive brand cross-category awareness, customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Enhance the online shopper journey to improve conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the e-commerce platform, such as traffic, conversion rates, and average order value.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to optimise product offerings and marketing efforts.
- Use web analytics tools to generate reports and insights to support the business in making data-driven decisions to optimise our e-commerce strategy.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms and monitor our online customer service issues to ensure these are responded to and resolved promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Procurement, Supply Chain, Technical, Sales, IT) and external partners to ensure joined up thinking.
- Work with our IT and external development teams to implement new features and troubleshoot technical issues.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in UX/UI design principles.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
- Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation techniques.
- Experience in Algolia search.
- Understanding of GDPR and creating and maintaining compliant mailing list.
- Experience of working with an ASP.NET web framework.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience as an E-commerce Manager or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Proficient in web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) and Excel for data analysis.
- Creative mindset with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience of building, leading and developing a team.
