In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students studying Early Years qualifications. - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and activities across Early Years programs at Levels 2 and 3, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and support them to meet and exceed their learning objectives.
- Develop and maintain high-quality teaching materials and resources.
- Provide ongoing pastoral support and guidance to students to help them overcome barriers to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and promote innovative teaching practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement, in line with college policies.
- Contribute to the college’s quality assurance processes and participate in professional development activities.
About You:The ideal candidate will be passionate about early years education and have a proven track record of teaching and inspiring learners.Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years Education or a related subject.
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
- Relevant teaching experience within the Further Education sector.
- Strong knowledge of Early Years frameworks, standards, and current practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and IT skills.
- A commitment to supporting students both academically and pastorally.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in curriculum development.
- Experience in teaching out of term time or within a year-round education setting.
- Assessor or verifier qualifications (e.g., CAVA or IQA)
