Early Years Practitioner
Salary: £12.82-£13.50 per hour. Location: DN2, Doncaster Role type: Temporary, opportunity for permanent role after 12 weeks.
Reed Education is currently working with a 2 form entry 'good’ primary school in the DN2 area. This school is part of a large multi-academy trust which is centred on fostering the independence and individuality of all their students. This school has a strong sense of community and drives inclusivity in everything they do. We are supporting this school to recruit a qualified and passionate Early Years Practitioner to start working in their busy nursery department from January.
Daily responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging activities targeted on specific areas of development.
- Work in a child-led manner, encouraging the independence of the children and allowing them to explore their natural creativity and curiosity.
- Monitor and record progress, working with the nursery lead to identify areas of development.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to support children with additional needs, ensuring activities are differentiated to meet their specific targets.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for the children.
What you’ll need to succeed in this role:
- A level 3 qualification in childcare/early years education.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A positive and creative mindset, an ability to develop relationships quickly.
- A passion for child development and early years education.
- Experience working in either day nurseries or primary schools in the UK.
- An understanding of the EYFS frameworks and phonics schemes.
