Are you an experienced ecologist looking to take the next step? We're seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join a leading ecological consultancy, working on diverse projects across the Southwest. • Lead ecological surveys for protected species (bats, birds, reptiles, newts, etc.).
• Conduct UKHab surveys and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments.
• Prepare ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation plans.
• Provide expert advice to clients, ensuring compliance with wildlife legislation.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business growth.

• A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• A NE bat survey licence (Level 1 or above) or equivalent protected species licence.
• At least 2 years' experience in ecological consultancy or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of BNG.
• Experience in report writing, GIS (QGIS preferred), and ecological surveying.
• A full UK driving licence.

• Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 (DOE).
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
