Are you an experienced ecologist looking to take the next step? We're seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join a leading ecological consultancy, working on diverse projects across the Southwest. The Role:
- Lead ecological surveys for protected species (bats, birds, reptiles, newts, etc.).
- Conduct UKHab surveys and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments.
- Prepare ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation plans.
- Provide expert advice to clients, ensuring compliance with wildlife legislation.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to business growth.
What You Need:
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A NE bat survey licence (Level 1 or above) or equivalent protected species licence.
- At least 2 years' experience in ecological consultancy or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of BNG.
- Experience in report writing, GIS (QGIS preferred), and ecological surveying.
- A full UK driving licence.
