Location: West London Salary: Outer London Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) Contract Type: Permanent Start Date: April 2025

Role Overview:

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for teaching Economics to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will inspire and engage students, helping them to develop a deep understanding of Economics and achieve their full academic potential. This is a permanent position starting in April 2025, offering a competitive salary based on the Outer London Pay Scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Economics lessons tailored to the curriculum for KS3, KS4, and KS5.

  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing effective feedback and support.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.

  • Utilise innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning and development.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and welfare.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Economics or a related field.

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK.

  • Experience teaching Economics at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels.

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Economics.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to design and implement engaging and effective lessons.

  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
