We are working with a rapidly expanding Multi-Disciplinary Design & Surveying Consultancy that operates nationwide across the UK.
This firm boasts a diverse portfolio of projects within the construction industry, focusing on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions and exceptional client service from initial design through to project completion.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical CAD & Revit Technician to join this dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing high-quality electrical drawings and models, contributing to the development of various large-scale projects across the UK.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed electrical designs, schematics, and models using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring high-quality output that meets client and project specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, architectural, and civil engineers, to coordinate designs, resolve conflicts, and ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Support the design and development of electrical, fire, security, and renewable energy systems, adapting designs to meet the functional and architectural requirements of each project.
- Conduct regular reviews and quality checks of drawings and models to identify and rectify design errors or contradictions.
- Maintain and organize project documentation, including document registers and technical submittals, to support project progression and decision-making.
- Learn & stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices, participating in continuous professional development (CPD) to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist in the preparation of written and templated specifications aligned with client and project requirements.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance Revit skills and exposure to industry-specific plugins.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience working on large domestic, commercial, and industrial building projects, ideally £1M+.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit ideally for electrical design or similar, with the ability to produce high-quality schematics, layouts, and details.
- A solid understanding of building services, including a basic knowledge of mechanical, architectural, civil, and public health disciplines.
- Ability to translate conceptual designs into practical solutions that align with both architectural and functional project requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a natural design flair and the confidence to think creatively, providing clients with innovative and effective solutions.
- An understanding of the overall design and delivery process, recognising the need for integrated information delivery and adherence to project timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- HND/HNC/ Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Architectural Design Engineering or related field.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel occasionally as required.
