Electrical Design Engineer - Reed : Job Details

Our client is seeking a confident Electrical Design Engineer with a detailed understanding of all aspects of electrical and electronic design. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in the development of new products and thrives in a highly regulated industry.

• Engage in electrical assembly and design, including wiring harness design and electronic control and interface design.
• Produce engineering drawings, build, and test guides.
• Work on AC/DC power distribution, analogue and digital circuit design.
• Conduct fault finding and problem-solving activities.
• Collaborate with other specialists within a project, advising on equipment design and integration.
• Meet tight deadlines and adhere to industry regulations while aiming to exceed customer expectations.

• Qualified engineer, ideally to degree-level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent professional experience in electrical design.
• Strong understanding of Machinery safety regulations, EU harmonised standards, and design of safety circuits.
• Experience in regulated environments with exposure to EN60204, EN13849, UL/NFPA regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Solid Edge is highly desirable.
